The Golden Time Hotel, or better known as GT Hotel, is described as a light that shines over Distrik 7 the very core and beating heart of D7. At least, that is what it looks like on the outside.
When visiting GT Hotel, one would quickly notice a wax sculpture of an old, ancient clock. The clock is dressed in flower carvings made out of wax and is placed right at the entrance. Inside the lobby, more wax sculptures of different shapes and stories can be seen, along with walls adorned with antique grandfather clocks. The lobby itself is very fancy and lives up to the hotel’s name.
As a hotel, the lobby is considered the very core of its identity. And What better but to place the very masterpiece (or so they call it) that is praised and glorified at the very core of the hotel itself.
This masterpiece, as it is often described, is a mechanical figure covered in “time” and clocks, with a heart embedded with red and gold, bursting out of the person’s chest to reveal the very core of their body. The person looks distressed , as they clutch their “spilling heart” with “agonizing pain”and sorrow.
But as some say this “pain” is not from the physical agony of their “spilling heart,” but rather from something deeper, buried within their core.
Many have theorized countless meanings for this wax sculpture , from the most mundane and cliché, such as “emotions spilling out,” to more metaphorical interpretations. The reason for these theories often ties back to the well-known story of the Watchmaker and the Wax Sculptor, along with a certain poem attached to it.
As it goes:
“A heart of gold
Consumed by those who loathe,
Sinking deep in those who love.
As time beats ever so slowly,
As gold turns to rust,
And trust wanes to dust.”
and as time goes and popularity grows, this masterpiece and the hotel itself received many praise. As it goes :
• “A truly enigmatic concept!”
• “What a curious place!”
• “A tragic art displayed at its finest!”
The fame of this masterpiece grew, and the masses did what they do best: they created “theories,” expanded the stories, and gave this once nameless piece a title “The Spilling Heart.”
With GT Hotel’s fame growing and endless crowds visiting, Shops of different antiques and arts opened. And One of the most well known clock/watch shop of today resides in this very hotel by the name of

Beside the ancient sculptures and the unique, detailed masterpiece of the “spilling heart,” the hotel and its basic facilities does live up to its name. And not to mention the famous GT Hotel bar, known for its finest liquor and “skillfully entertaining bartender”. The rooms, the spa, the pool — all its facilities can be said as comfortable and well-designed, giving off the same “enigmatic” and “artsy” vibe that surrounds the tale of the Watchmaker and the Wax Sculptor.
And with all that is said, whether it’s the grand golden aesthetic of the hotel, or the hidden story within the wax sculpture and clocks, one truth remains: GT Hotel is the heart of Distrik 7 and will probably remain so for the longest time.
