Sounds of glass clicks and gold flicks flow through the vast cylinder of the sky, laughs and sorrows are heard throughout every spin of the wheel.
A so-called landmark of glamour of the famous Distrik 7, in which fate dances on the edge of chance as time dissolves in the awe of performance.
The Skyrise Casino is made of 3 spiraling floors, each covered in hues of red, gold, and blue, creating a colorful hypnotizing radiance. It is then crowned with a colorful glass dome on top which is attached by a single spiraling eye that observes and judges, by which all is revealed.
The All Seeing Eye is the center of the casino’s extravagance, the eyeball moves rapidly and endlessly, it hangs high and unreachable. Despite that, it can be said that its only agency is observing and nothing more. Some recognize it as god and most stare in awe upon the glamorous design, making observations and stories of their own.
The casino and its system can be described as elegantly chaotic, the casino itself is said to be “performative” as the same goes for its own system.
The administrative desk lies at the very bottom of a pillar in the middle, which—that pillar—is also an elevator that climbs through the three floors, bridging to each consecutive floor. The employees behind the bars all wore an eye face mask, each with different kinds of animals on them. They are barely seen behind the bars, only their voice is clearly heard and their fancy red suits are slightly visible from the other side. They are the administrators who manage the leaderboard, point systems/chips, and the registrations or schedules for the “performances.”
These so-called performances are in their nature a “performance.” Many go to the Skyrise Casino only for these performances, as anyone can register to do these performances but not many can rise to fame. In many cases they may go out in contempt and misery, and in some rare cases they come out in glory and ecstasy. There is no in-between because the audience will always be entertained.
The nature of these performances lies in the element of surprise. The guests of the Skyrise Casino may register as a “performer.” If they register alone, a randomized opponent will be chosen. If they have a specific request for an opponent, there may be an agreement between two parties and a schedule is set.
The games “performed” in these performances are generally randomized. To request a certain schedule or game, a minimum requirement of 10,000 points or chips is needed, but points and chips can easily come as they go.
These games usually play out in the center of the auditorium, with a big screen on each auditorium showing the visuals of the performers and a precise update of the point board each second that is played. Not only that, sometimes the screen is used for the game itself, making it a well-performed trivia or gameshow!
For audiences, these performances are always available every day and every time. There are a total of 10 available auditoriums with one standing gloriously on the very top of the third floor. It is where the most glorious spectacle of a performance plays, only those who are capable perform with their hearts at stake.
The audience may watch all performances as scheduled and may bet for some if available. For lower-ranked performances, audiences may come and go as they like to watch a free show of their liking. A little higher and classy performances may require a ticket that is sold a few days before the scheduled performance, and for the very grand performances which are performed by those that earned their place in the all-time leaderboard, one may require a ticket that sells at a may-or-may-not-reasonably high price. And for the record, it is usually sold out at an unreasonably rapid speed, that it can sometimes be normal to come across one of these tickets at an underground market, not to mention these tickets usually come out unpredictably and very suddenly, especially when regarding the esteemed Gilded Grand Master of the Stage—Zen Dominick.
(Chips/points that are required are different chips from those you can buy, it is collected by playing with other players or perhaps machines, but the easiest way to get them is by doing performances. Although it can be said it is also the easiest way to lose points/chips. To check chips one may go to the administrative desk.)
